You're right he should be. Chris Ellsworth last night on NBC said the same thing.
In all probability Bill Parcels won't be happy with anything less than a 1 year suspension and 100K in fines. Jeff Fisher basically told Bill Parcels after the game that if the league doesn't do the right thing then he and the Tennessee Titans will.

No. In a appropriate pastime, no person can attain base safely. The leadoff guy interior the 1st reached first base safely. that is nevertheless a no-hitter because of the fact the play could be scored E5 (errors made via the 0.33 baseman), with the out being a 9-6 (precise fielder retrieved the ball and threw to the shortstop, who tagged the runner out).

That would be a dangerous precedent to set. If it happens on the field of play, and doesn't include a foreign object, and could conceivably be seen as happening spontaneously in the "heat of battle," I think you need to let the team/league handle it as being an "acceptable" part of the game (at least in terms of drawing a line between a "penalty" and a criminal act).
He needs to sit for at LEAST two games. I'd say two to four.

He didn't get arrested because the player he stomped in the face has to press charges, and maybe the thinking in the NFL is he'll be tried on the field of play by an execution team of his peers!

Because what is on the field stays within the league. Different rules for the players. He should be given a lifetime ban to be reinstated possibly in 2 years if the Commish allows it. There is no room for that and he should be made an example.

I've heard that if Dallas doesn't feel the punishment is severe enough they will press criminal charges against him. This man should not be allowed to play another game this season.

There is no place for that in professional sports, he should be fined severely and suspended. If the league doesn't do it, then Nashville should.

He may well be. If the player presses charges, which I think he should.
