Everytime you turn on the animal planet channel and tune into the animal cops show there is some black man starving 3 pitbulls or leaving them for dead after they lose a dog fight or leaving them out in winter in detroit in the snow or some similar example. Recently DMX was caught abusing dogs. What's the deal with this? Go ahead and call me racist.
Then you can called the tortured animals racist too.

In the news today is an article about an actor in the show 'The Wire'. His brother got murdered yesterday in DC, and he made an announcement that he wants people in the inner city to have less of a revenge mentality, so the cycle of violence stops. Given that he is in a show that displays this type of violence, and making a good living doing it, do you think it's hypocritical or dumb to call for peace? I know that the show doesn't make people violent but it could be misinterpreted (I know it's misinterpreted because I used to ask people when I was a social worker) by some to think that revenge and violence is a good thing even if the show is trying to show the opposite. I know this actor wouldn't quit the show, but if he really cared about reducing inner city violence, wouldn't it be better to quit the show and go around the country advocating less violence?

America I think everyone in this country should purchase a bicycle and use that more than their own cars. Then we would definatly be the most fit nation. What do you think?

From many discussions and experiences, Americans can say anything negative about their country or president, but the second any person that is not American says somthing, they become patriots of the year and live in the best country on Earth. Im not having a go, I think it is good to be patriotic and stand up for what you believe in. I just want to know if Americans can admit it is common behavour for SOME Americans, maybe not you, but Some? I know you may be wondering why this is in the r&s section, well i think being patriotic is a part of ones spirit.
