I believe it's right for those who want to do it. I'm of the opinion that it should be legalized. The legal system shouldn't have the right to police someone's sex life whether or not they're paying, or getting paid, to engage in sexual activities. And for all you do-gooders who will say that it causes the spread of sexually transmitted diseases- GET REAL! Most people who have sex aren't paying, or getting paid, for it. Legalizing prostitution would reduce crime and cost to taxpayers. (I would explain how, but I'm not in the mood.)
Prostitution isn't my cup of tea, but I have no problem with those who participate in it.

Since we are capitalists and live in a free market society. I beleive the government should not have the right to tell us what we can and can't produce (as far as goods and services). Where there is demand, there is supply, and I think that if women are willing to sell themselves, they should be able to do it. Their advertising should be limited, if not banned, and they should not be able to solicit out on a street corner. As legalizing drugs would eliminate drug dealers and dope wars--- legalizing hookers would eliminate STD carrying whores, pimps, and would increase the safety for a women. If it is government regulated inside a building (no home visits) than it should be legal. The government can tax the hell out of it and boost the economy.

I don't think prostitution is wrong but it's when the woman is forced into prostitution by any means. If it's not her choice then it's wrong.
Besides could you imagine if the goverment legalized it, they'd make loads just by taxing...lol

I agree with toocutefor you. although Parahandy both men and women can be prostitutes, you are obviously a woman with too little to do and involved in the latest trendy pc `causes`.

Sex gives happiness but It is not good to earn money from your body. (dont forget the fact that prostitutes do not choose the men) Its also not fair, why dont men sell their bodies?? However, its better than theft because it requires labour :)
