Here in the deep south in the States we eat Hogs Jowl and Black eyed Peas. I like mine with corn bread and greens with fried potatoes. I'm not sure what the symbolism or superstition is but we've been doing it for several generations and i like it!

Need Ideas on how to decorate the winning New years party hat, what theme should I use or what idea do you have, Last years winner whore a huge cone head in the cone head had pictures of the world things that had been going on like, pictures of passed presidents, 9/11, tv shows. It was pretty cool, and I need to come up with something that will bring in te winnings. Thank you

I know about the Red panties on New Year's Eve guarantees love in the next year (I swear by this one). Green candles, clothing, etc. is for health and Yellow is for money.

Also, just before 12:00 you should take a broom, go to your doorway and sweep outward (dust or whatever), this is supposed to get rid of all the bad stuff of the past year.

There's another one: Just after 12, take an empty suitcase and walk out the door, tae a few steps outside (some people say that you should walk all-around the block), this supposedly guarantees that you'll have lots of great travel opportunities.

I dont know what to think.
My parents told me that Santa do exist, and he's the one who gave me presents!
The cookies and milk I left for him vanished the next day. Who ate it if not Santa himself?!
But, this whole Santa thing seems a bit, untrue.

What is there to do that does not cost much $$$$. I live in Adelaide, Australia.
So far done nothing but surf internet, hired / brought DVD's to watch, slept. My car is too unreliable to go for long country drive and I am trying to not drink booze everyday of holidays.
