Because I am a Pagan and not a Christian. I enjoy the way my family celebrates the holiday. It is about family and friends coming together and sharing.
As I have said before, I celebrate St Paddy day even though I am not Irish.

I don't believe anyone knows the exact day. It would be a bit weird if everyone chose their own day to celebrate. How would families and friends get together. How would businesses give employees a day off. It makes perfect sense to choose one day and celebrate together.

It's better to celebrate on the wrong day than to not celebrate at all, and the actual date is still open to debate. Even if you just think of it as the traditional pagan celebration of the days starting to grow longer as spring approaches, I think that's a good enough reason to celebrate.

No-one knows for sure and that is the day Christianity picked to celebrate it so that it corresponded with pagan holidays so it was easier for them to assimilate Christianity. The important thing is to remember the day.
Some people just love creating discord and being different for the heck of being different.

stop being a follower? fine, then why dont you sit home by yourself on your little "day" that you pick.. hope you enjoy it(:. .w.e do you realise your making a big deal over a DATE? Christmas is basicly a symbolic date, its a day to remember Jesus's birth, the date is the LEAST important. you must have NO friends or family, because could u imagine people showing up on random days that they "picked" & expecting you to celebrate there little picked day? no, its impossible. what days would the stores have there christmas sales? what days would all the stores be closed? WHAT DAY WOULD THEY START SELLING EGGNOG?... OR CANDY CANES HUH?. get a freakin life. bye

No one knows exactly when Jesus Christ was born. December 25th was selected by Christianity as it coincided with many existing pagan festivals.
