we are living in a foreign country and this will be our first christmas without any family, just me and bf. i am worried that this christmas will be really sad and depressing. dont really have any close friends here either to spend it with.

what could we do, that is different and will keep us from thinking about what we are missing back home?

I am 20 years old and performing the act with another girl who is 19. We'd really like it to be funny but not so much that we die of fright up there. It will be in a restaurant- no stage.

Like Thanksgiving is next week, I just don't feel like it should be so soon. I have heard the older you get the faster the years and Holiday's go by.. Perhaps I am just getting old.. ugh... Im only 24.

But for real, I dont think its Thanksgiving time already!!!! And Christmas like 40 or some days away!!! WOW!!!!

I have a dear friend of the family (I'll call her Deborah) who does everything that she can to help my relatives and I with my 3 year-old little sister. She baby-sits willingly, buys gifts for my sister during birthdays and holidays and often calls to see about our well-being. The problem is that Deborah has the most obnoxious, spoiled, and ill-mannered 7 year-old grand daughter (Tara) who cannot differentiate adults from her peers. Quite often I have put Tara in check for speaking rudely to adults and my sister and even hitting her. And I've stopped myself from disciplining her on a few occasions because it's not my place. So because Deborah has given so much to my sister should I feel obligated to purchase her little brat a gift as well this year?

P.S.
I will definitely buy Deborah a Christmas gift but that grand daughter, arrrgh! If I ever come across a giant slingshot, I swear, Tara will be the first one I place into it!
