Does anyone know a free resource where I can find out facts and figures related to global consumption?

For exmple, Globally we consume $42bn worth of chocolate. Which is actually true. Or globally we spend $18bn on makeup.

I'm trying to resarch how much we spend globally on a range of things. Anyone know anywhere I could find some of this kind of information?

The minimum wage would be increased so low-income workers can earn a living wage.

I just want to know the difference and what the "would be" sentence is considered. I know that "should" often implies a normative statement, but what about this sentence above? Please help me understand.

Suppose hypothetically, 10,000 people were marooned on a fertile bountiful secluded island and in time they had all occupied their own plot of land and become: farmers, planters, fishermen, miners, foresters, builders, printers and other service personal and manufacturers. They then agreed to form a government and create a reserve bank. Bearing in mind that there would be privately owned supplies of gold, silver and paper on the island, how would the newly elected Reserve Bank Chairman create the monetary system? Specific answers please on what he/she would actually do (!), rather than generalisations about GDP, confidence in the currency system etc., etc.

Hello there,

I'm currently in my last phases of my final thesis, and I'm looking for people who would like to help me out. My thesis topic involves whether and how much an individual's attitude changes when it receives external information (online and offline) by another invididual (expert or peer). It is a fairly simple questionnaire, and will only take about 3-5 minutes. As a reward you can leave your e-mail address to enter a prize draw of 3 times 10 USD/EUR Cash (this will be officially done via the university).

The link to the questionnaire: www.lynck.nl/q.htm
The quesionnaire is in English, and everyone can enter.

I would like to thank every respondent in advance. You've been of great help.
