What would have been the over-land gateway between the two countries in the ancient spice trade? Perhaps even a "gate" that has not been used in all these years. I am interested in corresponding with someone who is very knowledgable about the ancient Mediterranean spice routes and spice trades.

I am learning about Retsina- a greek wine with a pine flavor. I've learned it comes close in flavor to how wine would have tasted thousands of years ago. I've also read that the people of that time would have used honey and spices and even seawater to alter the taste. Does anyone know how I can find out how this flavoring was done? (I seem to have exhausted all the internet information) I'm wanting to have as close to authentic flavor as possible.

All scientists and many people know, race is not a scientific term. It has become so, but there are no races, only genetic traits. A person with pure genes, if there are any, of one genetic type, can in 3 generations of mixing, become another genetic type. Since this hypothesis is proven, why do we as a race, the human, find it so hard to ignore skin color?

2) To say differing sex roles among food foragers are compatible with the biological differences between men and women, supports the assertion that they are biologically determined.

I'm writing a paper and need to choose an item from our time that has had a great impact on our society. For example, viagra or the ipod (yes, I've already thought of these! What ELSE can you come up with?). And if we were to place it in a time capsule, what would future generations interpret about us by examining the artifact? (Please don't answer if you're not serious)

I have a 12 page paper due soon and I have no idea what to write about!!! The topic is "any current archaeology debate, time period, aspect of material culture, etc particularly relating to NORTH american archaeology" (nice and specific, right?). I'm desperate! I like the colonial American time period and the material culture associated with but I don't know what specific niche I could find a lot of library research on. Help!
