According to Mr. Hass, the number of cell phone subscribers in North America was 150 million as of the year 2000 and he claims that the number of subscribers has been increasing at a rate of 42 million per year. He also claims the average annual revenue (to cell phone service providers) per subscriber was $330 in 2000 , but has been decreasing at a continuous rate of 5% per year since then. This is a problem that I need help with. I know how to do it but the problem is that I have to solve this problem without a calculator.

There is a boy who is standing at the center of a circular field that had a radius of 135 feet. He walks due north halfway to the circle. He then turns and walks due east half way to the circle. My answer:
8.4 and 8.4 because, when added, they equal 16.8.
Of all the numbers that can be added together to equal 16.8 and then multiplyed together, 8.4 times 8.4 will give the greatest product - 70.56

Orange Thirst is 15% orange juice and Quencho is 5% orange juice. how many liters of each should be mixed together in order to get 100 L of a mixture that is 12% orange juice?

Problem 2: A motorboat took 4 hours to make a trip downstream with a 6-mph current. The return trip against the same current took 5 hours. Find the speed of the boat in still water. (Use distance=rate x time)
