Let f(x)=

x^2 if x≤-1
A|x|-1 if -1 x^3-Bx+1 if x ≥1

1. Assume that A=B=1. Where does f(x) fail to be continuous?
2. For which values of A and B is f(x) everywhere continuous?
3. With A and B found in (2), where does f(x) fail to be differentiable?

Can someone explain how to do this? Thanks.

A cellular phone manufacturer randomly selects 5 of every 50 phones from the assembly line and tests them. If at least 4 out of 5 pass inspection, the batch of 50 is considered acceptable. Fine the probability that a batch of 50 phones is considered acceptable given the following additional information:

1. the batch of 50 phones contains 2 defectives
2. the batch contains no defectives

for number 1, I got .21
number 2 I got .311
Is this right??

The line AC is perpendicular to the line AB.

1) find the gradient of AC
2)find the equation of line AC
3) given that point c lies on the x-axis find its x coordinate

Line AB HAS EQUATION 3X +4Y =7

Find the rational zeros of the polynomial function if they exist. If possible, find the other zeros. Then write the equation in factored form.

A) P(x) = x^3 - x^2 - 4x - 2

B) P(x) = 2x^3 -3x^2 -7x - 6
