where does it go from there?? Is it something like quadrillion?
Can someone tell me all the units of counting as far they go?

I once read somewhere (I think it was Scientific American..) that there's a word that can be used to count all the spoken words since humans begin talking. So I'm guessing that's like 10 to the 400th power or something. I know googol means 10^100, but that's the largest I know, and I don't know anything between that and trillion.

The velocity of a skydiver t seconds after jumping is given by
v(t)= [-(32/k)^1/2] x [(1-e^2t((32k)^1/2)) / (1+e^2t((32k)^1/2))]]
in meter/second, where k is a constant that depends upon the size and shape of the object and the density of the air. Find the therminal velocity with k=0.00064 and k=0.00128

So each one of them contributed Rs.25 and paid the amount to the waiter who gave the cash on the counter. But the restaurant owner gave a Rs.5 discount. Of this amount the waiter pocketed Rs.2 and and distributed Rs.3 by giving each one of them Re.1. So by this logic each of the friends contributed Rs.24 making a total of Rs.72 and Rs.2 are with waiter. So where did the Re.1 go out of a total of Rs.75??

A triangle is scalene, does not contain a right angle, has integer length sides, and its area is an integer.

Find the triangle with these properties with the least perimeter.

(By the way I found a formula to work out the area of a triangle without knowing the height - sqrt[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)] where s is the semi-perimeter a+b+c/2.)

Thanks, a best answer will be voted for!!

b) Use the ratio test to find the interval of convergence of the series. Ignore the end points.

Sharon's revenue R (in dollars) on the sale of x fruitcakes is determined by the formula R= 50x - x^2. Her cost C ( in dollars) for producing x fruitcakes is given by the formula C = 2x + 40. For what values of x is Sharon's profit positive? (Profit = revenue - cost.)

1) I have been working with these kind of polynomials

x^2n + x^n + 1

and I realised that they are a multiple of x^2 + x + 1 but for the cases when n is a multiple of 3.

Adding and substracting x^n, I get:

x^2n + 2 x^n + 1 - x^n = (x^n +1)^2 - x^n

And, if n is an even number, n/2 is a natural number, so, I can factore the expression this way:

[x^n + 1 - x^(n/2)][x^n + 1 + x^(n/2)]

But I cant do this if n is an odd number, since I wouldnt get polynomials factors. But, dividing the original polynomial by x^2 + x + 1, I have noticed that the residual is 0 if n is not a multiple of 3. Any suggestions?

2) In these cases:

x^2n - x^n + 1, adding and substracting 3x^n, I get:

x^2n + 2 x^n + 1 - 3x^n = (x^n +1)^2 - 3x^n

And, if n is an even number, n/2 is a natural number, so, I can factore the expression this way:

[x^n + 1 - V3 x^(n/2)][x^n + 1 + V3 x^(n/2)]

Id like suggestions too for n an odd number

Thanks.
