We came up with an answer, but the teacher says we are wrong, but he hasn't got an answer for us yet
He said he will give us an answer tomorrow...

The question is...

Write a formula for the charge, C, to send telegrams at a cost of 75 cents for the first 10 words and 5 cents each for N additional words.

I say its "c = .75 + .05n"

And he is saying that what if the telegram is 8 words or has 14 words total
Then it would be .75 + .05(14)
But we are telling him it would be .75 for the first ten and then .05(4) for the four additional words
But he is saying that it is not clear enough
Can somebody please find the correct answer or explain a way for my answer to be correct?
Thanks

A parametrization is given for a curve.
(a) what are the initial and terminal points, if any? Indicate the direction in which the curve is traced.
(b) Find a Cartesian equation for a curve that contains the parametrized curve. What portion of the graph of the Cartesian equation is traced by the parametrized curve ?
Is it right that the initial point is (1,0) and the terminal point is (-1,0)??
and i also have to graph it, i can do that by using a grapher but is there a way that i can do it without a grapher ??
