^2

/x= x ^1/2

/x^2 = ( x^2) ^1/2

= x ^1/2 into ( x^2) ^1/2
= x ^1/2 into x^2/2 (as 2/ 2 = 1)
= x ^1/2 into x ^1
Now we add the indices
= x ^1/2 + ^1 (we add the fraction 1/2 to 1, applying lcm we ger the answer as 3/2)

Answer = x ^3/2

think of sqrt interms of x^1/2

so you have (x^1/2)(x^2/2)

when you multiply powers you add them so you get:

=x^3/2

which is the same as these answers

x * sqrt(x)
sqrt(x^3)
