Ok. I know how to the Interval of Convergence of the power series. But when I check for the endpoints. Is it true that if it is centered at 0, 1 end converges and the other diverges. And if it is set at =/ 0 then either both converge or both diverge? If that is not the case isn't there some rule like that to determine?

I really need help the question is that an island is 85m from a straight shoreline at the closest point and the nearest electrical connection is 250m along the shore from that point. It costs twice as much to install cable across water as across land what would be the least expensive way to install cable? Any ideas on how to start off the question would be appreciated.

Hitting a baseball
-A baseball is hit when it is 4 ft above the ground. It leaves the bat with an initial velocity of 155 ft/sec, making an angle of 18 with the horizontal. At the instant he ball is hit, an instantaneous 11.7 ft/sec gust of wind bloes in the horizontal direction against the ball, adding a component of -11.7i to the ball’s initial velocity. A 10-foot-high fence is 380 ft from homeplate in the direction of the flight.

b) How high does the baseball go, and when does it reach maximum height?
c) Find the range and flight time of the baseball.
d) When is the baseball 25 ft high? How far (ground distance) is the baseball from home plate at that height?

OK, thanks for the help with finding the actual derivative. So I set it = 0, which gave me

6cosx 4 = 0

After solving that, I was left with

cosx = -2/3

Now, would I have to take out the cosine by using the arc-cosine function, leaving me with x = .841? I plugged f'(x) into my calculator and it doesn't have a constant positive slope, so I definitely did something wrong. Please help!

Sorry to bug you with this everybody, but I really need help. I'm stumped =( It's for my summative assessment which is 15% of my final grade
