If you mean 2/(5x)...
5x/2 = -1/10
(5/2)x = -1/10
(2/5)(5/2)x = (2/5)(-1/10)
x = -2/50
x = -1/25
If you mean (2/5)x...
(5/2)(2/5)x = (5/2)(-10)
x = -10 * 5/2
x = -50/2
x = -25

2/5x = -10
by cross multiplication is 2 = -50x
isolate x and you get x = -2/50 or -1/25.

2/5x is the same as 2/5 *x
SO you can multiply by the reciprocal, (flip the fraction) and bam. youre done.
-10*5/2= -25=x

If its what I think it says then this is how you do it:
2/5x=-10
multiply by 5/2
x=-25
hope that helps

2/(5x)= -10
if that's the problem here is how you work it out.
first start out my multiplying boy sides by 5x
to get rid of the denomniator.. personally i dis like
fractions very much.
you then get
2= (-10)5x
then
2= -50x
then get x alone, divide both sides by -50
x= -2/50
simplify
x= -1/25

you need to get x by itself, to figure it out multiply 2/5 by its reciprocal, then do the same to the -10 on the other side to get the x by itself....
(5/2)(2/5)x = (5/2)(-10)
x = -50/2
x = -25
