I am in the final year, and the deadline for my chemistry project is just a few days away. I need some Uranium to complete the experiment, but the school does not seem to have any anymore. I just a small quantity, to test on the isotopes. I am in Santa Clara, CA now. Can anyone please help?

Some chemistry teachers ask students to remember, in order, the elements of the periodic table. What's the point of this? Isn't the periodic table supposed to be used as a reference to look up things if you forget?

For all you chemists; is it really that useful to "remember" the periodic table?

my friends im 17 yrs i didint studied High school and i jumped to college the reason is because im too old to study high school form1 and when i was young i use to hate school so ididnt used to go and my family didnt used to push me, i know thats A big fault

so now i study in college BioChem Section im really doing good but i have problem in chemistry, the problem is that i havent studied about elements so when it comes to blancing or equations i have difficult to know in which group is the element what is its charesteristic and its valency so i cant answer them in exams or i cant do any balancing question in exams

So how can i learn and remember fast about elements in preodic table and their valencies and how can i do that while im studing and doing other home works

is there any easy or shorcut way that i can build up high school chemistry, is there any good softwares or websites
