There is no liquid that easily melts iron. Others said different acids but they do not melt iron, they react with it and dissolve it.

Hmm!!! i love thermite. yay! watch Braniac to find out stuff about chemicals. Oh, actually, im not sure if thermite melts iron, or makes it explode so, dont try it! just, watch braniac, OR google it! sooooo much simpler!! (sorry, not much help! :( )

as iron has strong tensile strength with electrons having strong electrostatic forces b'ween them it is not easy to melt.others have told that it maybe H2SO4 or HNO3 but in reality they only react .

It is Aqua regia which is a result of mixing up of H2SO4 and HCl.In Hindi it is called aml raaj.

HNO3 + 3HCL its actually the strongest of all. Be careful while using, if you could get these :)
