I just got back from winter break, and as a result, I forgot how to balance equations. Can someone explain to me how to balance the equations:

Iron (III) nitrate and sodium chromate yields iron chromate and sodium nitrate

Magnesium and HCl yields magnesium chloride and hydrogen

Sodium carbonate and sulfuric acid goes through a double replacement

Lithium oxide and water goes through a double replacement.

Thanks!

When 60.0 milliliters of 3.0-molar K2CO3 are added to 40.0 milliliters of 1.0 molar KHCO3, what is the resulting concentration of K+?

I got 4M by adding .36 mols [in 60 mL of 3.0 M solution K2CO3] with .04 [in 40 mL 1 M KHCO3], which is .4 and dividing it by the amount of liters that would come out of it, [.04+.06=].1, which equals .4=.1=4. Please explain this to me even if I got it right. Thanks a lot!

If 0.4647g of a compound containing C, H, O atoms was burned in oxygen to yield 0.8635g of O2 and 0.1761g of H2O, how do you find the empirical formula?

If the molar mass of the compound is 142.11g/mol, what is the molecular formula?

I know it sounds odd, but its for science, and we don't have one laying around the house.

problems such as---
1. 689.3 grams of aluminum sulfate (moles)
2. 4.69 X 10^25 atoms of gold (moles)
3. 1.50 moles of calcium chloride (grams)
4. 1.26 X 10^24 formula units of sodium phosphate (grams)
5. 2.57 moles of potassium nitrate (particles)
6. 42.8 grams of magnesium sulfate (particles)

i'm fine on finding the molecular mass, i don't understand how to use dimensional (sp?) analysis to take that and find out what the answer needs to be in parenthesis.
