I grew butternut squash for the first time this year and it was different to the shop bought sort. Mine was floury, much like a smooth potato when cooked. The ones from Israel in the shops are coarser and more flavoursome. Is it our weather or just the variety of seed?

Tea bags contain herbal medicines specifically the leaves. These leaves contain caffeine. After doing an experiment on the extraction of caffeine using chloroform, the result showed 0% recovery of caffeine. What could be the possible reason for this? We followed the right procedures and were very meticulous in doing the experiment. The tea bags used were Tsaang Gubat Tea. Does this mean that Tsaang Gubat doesn't contain caffeine?

Please I need your answers and explanations. Thanks!

Isn't this a sign of to much sun but I thought lemon trees want full sun?

This tree is grown from seed and is in indoors. It’s about four feet high. I have several cuttings from trees that are over 100 years old and they are producing fruit. They love the sun. Their leaves love the sun. Why is this lemon different?

The leaves are long and slender unlike the others which are fat and slightly oval in shape. The tree does have the characteristic thorns so I know it’s a lemon and not something else.

I have theorized that maybe since my tree is from a seed from lemon bought at the store might be the reason why it’s sickly. Maybe it’s the offspring of a hybrid?

What do you think? Is direct sun not good for this lemon?
