It is said that humans evolved from monkeys, my questions are:

1. why are there still monkeys?
2. how come no other animal species has evolved into human like creatures, like tigermen, elephantmen, batmen etc....
3. why mamals? how come reptiles or insects did evolve into human like creatures?

basically, my question is, why are we all alone? why arent there any other species that have evolved into human like creature? what makes apes so special?

"Dominant genes produce evolutionary benefits."...I told my teacher that this question was too vague on the test but she said I shouldn't be...I guessed false because they don't produce the benefits, mutations/natural selection are responsible for that....the genes become dominant.....I don't know though..
