Whenever I watch the show, I always end up believing in the "spirit world" and ghosts, etc.

This is probably the creepiest episode:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnLwQel5f7E

The places are always in remote suburbs, and the people always seem overworked/white trash. :/

I wish the people interviewed talked more about the creepy experiences they had .. rather than basic info.

do u believe these stories?

I'm currently thinking of a sci-fi story steeped in realism and I have an alien race with multiple arms/appendages. Would it be possible for such a race to play at least two different kinds of instruments simultaneously? It would be great if I could get some proof or reassurance from musicians themselves and perhaps a biologist as well. Thank you.

My partner and I both think the exact same thing at the same time, it happens quite regularly. we will be sitting there and one of us says for instance," It was Ed" . I turned immediately and said to him, I was just about to say the same thing to you.
What does this mean?? is it a soul mate connection?? or something deeper???

My parents did their best bless their hearts; good schools, nice house, caring, nurturing, Christian morals...I deploy to Iraq next month and I'm afraid to die. Maybe I'm the odd person out but I believe in Cosmology and evolution; I just can't take the Old or New Testaments literally. I believe that when we die it is over and we had our chance. If this is so then why are we killing each other so casually, why do we keep bringing babies into situations too terrible to think about. It makes me crazy thinking about it sometimes. Thanks for any comments.

I am confused about it. I've heard about the theory that the 'world will end' in december 2012 but is that true? Is there real evidence that it will? If the world really WOULD end in 2012, how?
Just because Maiyans(spelling?) didn't go up to 2012 in their predicted calendar, does that really mean the world will end? That all the humans will die? What if, you know, suposevly, the Mayans(spelling?) simply didn't have enough time and didn't want to waste THEIR life predicting ours?
Please answer. With detail and thought. I would love to have a conversation with someone who knows this stuff. Thank you.

question is based on my last question and all the tremendously insightful answers I received (same category, 2 days ago). We are directly changing our environment; we are unique in that respect. Could Nature fight back like our bodies do when infected (natural selection)? Could our accomplishments result in our ultimate demise? Is this philosophy? Am I weird?

Real psychics don't take Randi's challenge because they're not interested in money.
And this is why everything is available for free in a psychic bookstore-giftshop. Oh that's right, they charge a lot of money for tarot cards, readings, books, talismans, etc.
Orwell called this Doublethink!
It was the ability to internalize a contradiction and operate normally as if everything was normal and there was nothing wrong.
2+2=5
It's not the only example. You don't have to look any further than headlines and pundits to see people entagled in Doublethink.
But Spiritual (Religious or whatever flavor is present) schools of thought thrive on Doublethink.
As a matter of fact, if you look at Orwell, it's almost a how to manual for every cult, religion, totalitarian state, or corrupt institution that has ever warped people's minds.
I agree with James Randi! It is harmful and should be opposed!

I'm looking for a specific game that was spread around the net between 2000 and 2004. It asked you specific questions such as family members names and birthdays. Then, it had you do something like add up the numbers from letters in their names and the birthdays to spell out a new name. That new name would ALWAYS end up being someone close to you like your first major girlfriend or boyfriend. Does anyone know where to find this?

You can use ms word or a similar word processor's "search and replace feature" to delete the following characters first: +, j, and q. I tried to email this to myself in de-encrypted form, so I could access the links conveniently from my inbox. But it wouldn't go over the internet! You try it.

If not do you think that it'll ever be possible (apart from the obvious boundaries we have today) to travel faster than the speed of light and if so how do you think that our bodies would handle such speeds without decintergrating into bits.

And how far do you think we've come with discovery science.

This is an open Creative Science question and all perceptions are acceptable, as long as the're not silly answers of course :)
