Scientology is a religious movement . it's founder claimed that he was visited by an archangel and told the big revelation.#?!
since then they have involved into a pretty secretive religion that no one knows to much about but all I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with science and that it's followers refuse any kind of medical treatment

I remember back when I was younger and I would see the ads on TV for the L Ron Hubbard books, Dianetics being the most popular and wanting to read them so bad. I have always thought that Scientology was a way of life and a personal belief, possibly religion. I think they believe that people are made not in Gods image (blasphemy!) but we are aliens left here along time ago.

I could go into greater detail, but it really just boils down to one thing--it's a cult. If you understand the dangers of cults you understand the dangers of Scientology.

A fruity little money-making religious society based on a science fiction author's comic book ideas. But you can't be a scientologist (not a very good one at least) unless you sink big bucks into it. That's why the big movie stars with the money are the premier scientologists.
