can't conceive luck to the extreme of DNA encoding, but certainly there are people to seem to have been born "Lucky's",however the vast majority of these people will tell you its a matter of thinking or what they say "positive thinking",but then again who knows for sure....

Luck could be considered genetic in an indirect way.
1.Attractive people are treated more favorably
2.Intelligent people are more capable of higher thinking and reasoning skills
3.People with a chemical composition that makes them more even-tempered are more likely to be socially acceptable
4.Coupled with intellience and a favorable appearance this temperament can be used to manipulate others within given situations and bring on better "luck"
We make our own luck in life, but these additional assets may enhance our chances for stumbling into lucky situations.

Personally, I believe luck is part genetic, part nurture in the nature-nurture debate. In psychology, you find that many things in life are a result of a combination of both genetics and influences from the environment.
I can't remember where I read it, but in an article, it was said that people with a certain personality attract certain events or other like-minded people depending on their disposition and outlook towards life. For example, if an individual is mostly happy and generally doesn't have a positive outlook, they attract happy individuals and tend to view all experiences as positive and that negative events are part and parcel of that life. On the other hand, negative individuals tend to see the positive experiences as short term events and see many things as negative and attract like-minded individuals or are usually solitary in their living.
You could also argue that these are experiences which are given to you and depending on how you interpret them and the choices you make, the experience can either be positive or negative. By changing your thinking and outlook on life, or by viewing the different interpretations on one single event, you see the grey areas instead of only seeing the black and white.

Eyes and hair colour is genetic inheritance; luck is a non-existent manmade concept. There is only Cause and Effect in the Universe therefore people who are able to focus their thoughts feelings and intentions towards achieving their goals attract the corresponding energy that produces the desirable effect.

No. Luck is a perceived but fictional propensity for fortuitous events. DNA codes for the production of proteins. Luck, even if it existed, would not be controlled by proteins.

Luck is a completely non-scientific concept. It is a social concept we use to describe favourable circumstances we were not expecting. And it certainly varies due to perspective.
Asking if luck encoded onto DNA makes me think you need to pick up some science books.

No. Sometimes people just have odds, against, or sometimes equal to someone else and get what they hoped to get. That is luck, there is no way that can be passed with genetics. It's like flipping a coin, and having it land on your sides, becuase of genetics? No.

No way. There is no such thing as luck ... merely the occurence of an event with very low probability. As far as people being more fortunate than others ... it's not luck but determination and drive.

Luck could be genetic in that attractive people without a doubt are luckier than ugly people. Looks tend to be genetic, so there you go. Nothing magical or supernatural about that though.

You know... I've always said that my entire family is extremely unlucky. It's just one negative thing after the other. We take one step forward and then something happens that sends us 3 steps back. It would totally make sense if bad luck ran through our genes because it just can't be possible for one family to "coincidentally" have such bad things constantly happen to them.
