I'm really stumped on this one; can anyone help me please?

The number N of bacteria in a culture is given by the model

N = 100e^kt

where t is the time (in hours). If N = 300 when t = 5, estimate the time required for the population to double in size.

Don't just give the answer; that is of no use to me. Step by step explanation please.

I need to come up with a few ideas for science fair, but I'm drawing a blank. I'm interested in nutrition, and so far I have: Which citrus fruit (out of lime, lemon, orange, tangerine and grapefruit) provides the greatest quantity of vitamin c? This is high school science fair for honors students, and last year I competed at the state level, so no "baking soda volcanos". This science fair is pretty extreme (in other words, up until 2 am from now until january), so I need generally advanced topics. Any suggestions?

Currently, I'm considering moving to a new area of the world but I'm unaware of anyplace that may have at least some of the factors I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a region that holds some of these characteristics?

1. Is somewhere open, and not surrounded by wildlife to a great degree (has sparse trees on the land, but enough to give good portions of shade, without bringing with it wildlife)

2. Is a region that has a warm summer, as opposed to hot, and a winter cold enough for snow.

3. Is someplace that has generally small, non-poisonous spiders.

4. Preferably, the area is English-speaking. However, this isn't a must.

I'll add more characteristics if needed. but for now, any serious answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I've always been really open to the fact that their are spirits and never been scared of them (I'm 14). We've always had weird things happen in our house, doors slamming, tv/radios turning on and off, just things like that. Lately I keep seeing things though I know this sounds crazy, but I am. I swear I've seen a little boy and older man in our house, I've seen the man a few times. I feel like I'm going nuts! I told my parents and they just kinda laughed it off. Could I really be seeing spirits? Why am I seeing them all of a sudden? Why isnt anyone else in my house seeing them?
