Baby Names - August 2007

My gf wants to name our hypothetical son Zander. I want to name him William, after my grandaddy and uncle, or Daniel, after my Dad. I don't want a son with a hippy name. What think you?

its not that i care what other people think.. i just cant believe how hurtful people can be... not just the asker.. but also the people that answered the question.

my name has never given me any problems.. and i dont find it 'gay or stupid' at all.

the asker of the question claimed it was a scottish sur name.. which is probably true..but im not scottish at all..
im spanish, german and austrian..

who agrees with me... WHO EVER POSTED THAT QUESTION DOESN'T RELIZE THAT SOME PEOPLE TAKE PRIDE IN THIER NAME..

My brother and his wife are expecting their first child in october and were wanting to call her Amelia Grace (if it was a girl they don't know what they are expecting).

Since that first descision, Mel has gone off the idea as so many people she knows and hears about are calling their girls amelia or grace. My boyfriend's cousin just had a baby girl and called her - Amelia Grace.

A quick look on here confirms that both names are on most people's lists.

Are these names in any TV programes or have there been any celebs having children that they have named either of these? I am not aware of any but then I don't really keep up with the celeb world or watch much TV.

There are the staples of the baby name world that have been popular for a while, but i'm surprised to see such an explosion of two particular names which I would think would be considered more old fashioned.

girl or boy, but they need to sound like a cute couple, like sound good together, some classic, some unique, doesn't matter, and middle and last names you think would sound great!!!

Kay & Dewayne are family names that mean alot to us.. H is the 1st letter or the last name..

if i have a girl her name will be either Sydney Faye-Ruth (Faye after hubby's grandma and Ruth after my mom) or Sydney Nicole-Ruth (Nicole just cause it's prettty ) and tell me how u like my boy's full name it will be Shawn Christian Aldean Bunch (Shawn, after my deceased cousin,Christian after hubby, Aldean after my grandpa and hubby's middle name< it's a long name because i'll only be able to have one child nd we'll call him "Shawn Christian" what do u think?
