maybe it's just me, but i always thought that loosing wars required
1) constant heavy loss of casualties- I've been checking the news for some time now & have seen little or no U.S. military casualties. that & the fact that if you total the number of deaths & divide by the time we've been there, it totals out to be less than 5 a day. don't get me wrong, my heart goes out to the families & loved ones of those who've fallen, but the phrase isn't "war is a cakewalk", it's "WAR IS HELL!". meaning that there's bound to be some deaths along the way, but not nearly as many as in previous wars.
2) retreating/loss of grounds, we're still not bringing the troops home, & as far as i can tell, they're still out patrolling & helping the Iraqi forces.
i don't want to hear any political bullshit! all i want is the truth. i don't want to hear about how unjust this war is, on how bush is a warpig, i just want to know how you think we are "loosing".

Just as in each crisis the U.S. extracts something from Israel (e.g., Israel stayed out of the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan); Israel then extracts something from the U.S. (more military supplies, bombs, hardware, etc.).

Then came Hezzbollah and the US stayed out. ..........
Still, the US again supplied Israel with more military supplies, bombs, hardware, etc.)

Then comes Iran. And Israel prefers that the US make the first move. Still, the US continues to supply Israel with militiary supplies, bombs, hardsware. etc.

Then comes North Korea and as she sits quietly, Israel waits for the US to make the first move
and the US continues to supply Israel with militiary supplies, bombs, hardsware. etc.
But she has an even better reason to be concerned.
Because the US will need its OWN weapons if US "helps its allies in the east"

Israel seems more 'prepared' than the United States, in more ways than one.

How do you feel about this topic?

I cook meat for the whole family and enjoy a healthy diet, but do object to being labelled a child abuser.

What are you thoughts?

Didn't we all want to give Nixon a great big bear hug in the 70's?

One thousand six hundred and fifty million dollars. With that, you could buy the latest US nuclear powered aircraft carrier and have $250 million left over to fuel and staff it. You could hire 16,500 people and pay them each $100,000 to work for you for a year. Or, you could have bought YouTube, which employs 65 people.
