no, it's against the law to make you work without pay. go to the labor board

This is what these companies tell their department heads You need to do this , this and this but no overtime. This is code for work off the clock because they cannot tell you to work off the clock as that is against labor law.

i guess if you are not that educated to land a better job and you have bills to pay and mouths to feed and kids to raise then you do whatever it takes to keep the job. even if it means working for few hours off the clock.

they are afraid of saying no to there boss in fear of retaliation of being fired, Walmart does not want to pay over time so on ocasion they ask there employes to clock out but keep working its usually department managers and assistant managers i know this as I used to work for wal mart
