Well, when you have a government that wants to regulate every aspect of construction and protect every single consumer. The guys that work construction just say " F " it..... The American working stiff is just so damm sick of government and all the red tape that go's into hitting a nail with a hammer. I know about 20 unemployed construction guys sititng around... They have all just given up - these guys are only in their late 20's. Tired of Mexicans taking their jobs, no health insurance, and like they say its easier to just buck the system like everyone else.

I am hoping to do a fundraiser w/ a large group of people. I hope to find a farm that offers hay rides, preferably w/ BBQs and/or that allows alcohol. I'd like places as close to New Orleans as possible.

With all the insurance companies threatening to stop coverage in areas where there is a risk of hurricanes, they all may just stop coverage due to the risks involved. A scary thought if you're planning to sell your home soon. Will we see the day when insurance won't exist in coastal states?

Why do the people who fled from New Orleans for the hurricane to other cities behave so badly? I've met some in my home town and they have NO manners! What is this caused by? Why do that walk around the malls cursing loudly and throwing trash on the floor?

Just wanted you folks to check this guy out. He's a truck driver from Ponchatoula, Louisiana and he is "for real". He is running for President in 2008 on a platform that Americans need cheap fuel. He has it all lined out on how to get it. He knows he's not going to win, but he wants to be the voice of the average being screwed at the fuel pump on a daily basis!You have to say the guy has some guts!

I paid for flight lessons in full prior to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Subsequently, the flight instructor left town with acknowledgement that the company owes me approximately $2,000. Since November, I have not had any response from the flight instructor. The company I wrote the check out to still exists according to Louisiana's corporation database, and I know the registered agent. I would like to go to small claims court to receive my remaining balance. Any suggestions?
