Well, when you have a government that wants to regulate every aspect of construction and protect every single consumer. The guys that work construction just say " F " it..... The American working stiff is just so damm sick of government and all the red tape that go's into hitting a nail with a hammer. I know about 20 unemployed construction guys sititng around... They have all just given up - these guys are only in their late 20's. Tired of Mexicans taking their jobs, no health insurance, and like they say its easier to just buck the system like everyone else.

To be even more specific......i blame the New Orleans City Government, their idiot mayor, and the lazy welfare folks that are bleeding the gov't dry. I'm in Houston, and have more than my share of trash neighbors, thanks to the New Orleans disaster. They are all on food stamps and ssi, are unemployed and have various "vague" disabilities that do not keep them out of the clubs or off the streets -- just keep them from getting out of bed to go to work! And guess what???? they say they are staying here - with no plans to return to New Orleans because...and i QUOTE...."It's sooo trashy there!" AND HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK IT GOT THAT WAY??? DAMN, lazy people piss me off!

Take it easy brother. Go easy on the Mexicans, they are not the ones taking away jobs so much as the crooked employers who seek out their cheap labor.

These are hard working Mexican people who only want an honest day's pay. they work long and extended hours and barely get paid minimum wage! Did you know that the CEO for the home-building firm KB Homes (Barry Karatz) was the highest paid CEO for 2005? He got his big fat paycheck because 95% of his labor force is under-paid Mexicans.

Please be a bit understanding and realize that if you blame Mexicans for taking away jobs then double blame falls on the crooked employers and CEOs that employ them.

that is a BS excuse....government is not telling you not to push a broom and clean up the garbage....quit blaming the Mexicans....third world countries would have cleaned up that mess in months instead of years....quit laying the blame game and get off the computer and pick up a broom or shovel!

Welcome to American, Welcome to corporate greed, Welcome to what happens when we vote a dry drunk into office. Twice. Welcome to a country that would rather bleed billions of dollars into a war to liberate a country that doesnt want us there.

Welcome to a country that doesnt believe in taking care of our own.
