I have a lot of brass and nick/nacks and little statues and i would like to sell them, some or most are older I live in bloomington IL. and need to find someplace to buy the hole collection. please help me find a place!

a quarter of an inch thick, has a stamp on front too, maybe an eagle , and a deeper stamp on back, its not lead, not iron (a magnet wont stick to it), not brass, maybe silver?? Does anyone know any history ,authenticity, value etc... bar is in good condtion... thanks

The item was damaged over 3 months ago during remodling, he didn't think the damage was much, (small dent on display case) so he put it back up for sale. It never sold (he had it long b4 i started working there) now that im no longer working there, i am getting ready to pick up my last check and he is trying to deduct the value of the item out of my last paycheck. My brother said that stores can't charge customers or workers for accidently damage thats why stores are supposed to have insurance for high dollar items (its 350$) So im just trying to find out what i can do to fight this.
