Skin Conditions - November 2006

I just received my kit of ProActiv Solution two days ago, so I just thought I'd ask around for people who have used it and/or continue to use it. It has seemed to have cleaned up my oily t-zone already!!! Please, genuine opinions only.

Wondering which microdermabrasion product would be best for skin discoloration to restore skin back to original color from sun tan. The 3 i'm wondering about are: Neutrogena Advanced Solutions At Home MicroDermabrasion System, Mary Kay, or Youthful Essence. Also, which one would be best to use for constant sun exposure, or even a good sun block to use.

okay, i've been looking up acne products forever and now my eyes hurt, so i'm turning to you guys. i have severe acne but i don't want to take accutane. i've tried differen gel (that just dried out my skin), proactiv (that kept my skin clean, but didn't clear it up and i used it ofr almost 6 months). Not to mention everything from Neutrogena, clean and clear, aveeno, ect. Some stuff worked better than others, but never made a major difference. Right now, i am just back to neutrogena. i'm so tired of blotchy, red, inflammed, pimply skin. So I am asking, what is the thing you would recommend above everything else?

My lifestyle is the same as before and my diet is very healthy.
I have areas especially on my hands, scalp and my mid-section that erupt after intense scratching and raised rashes develop in these areas until eventually the skin becomes very rough and dry until the cycle begins again.



My hairdresser tells me it is a form of psoriasis and I would have
been born with it, but why now at this stage in my life would I suddenly get it?

It's from all the school work and homework! (ugh Grade 8!) I have a blister where my pen sits on my finger, It's ugly, it's red, it's sick! how do I get rid of it (and don't tell me to chop it off cuz I tried cutting it off and it hurts!) Thank you!

lately, my chin is gone kind of wierd. it's gotten really red, itchy and hot. it has the texture of sandpaper and almost feels like a burn. i think it's because i put some mild acidic medecation on for acne. does anyone know how to get rid of this or at least stop the burning itchiness WITHOUT using vaseline because it causes pimples...?

Over the past day or two, I've developed what look and feel kind of like mosquito bites, except they don't itch as much and aren't as big. There are about 5 of them now all over my body, and there are no bugs in my house.
im in a cold climate in ny, and i live on the 7th floor
also the mosquito bite things don't appear at all until i accidentally scratch the area they're in

I have dry chapped lips I have dry skin on my face i have dry legs I have a dry scalp HELP i dont know what to put on my afce but its itchy and dry i tried putting ponds cream on but it made my face burn . I don't know what to put on my legs i put something intensive care on it and it made my legs have bumps all over them. and the ehad and shoulders for my head stinks and i dont even think it works so is there a dandruff shampoo that doesnt smell bad? what to do?

I have recently gotten a prescripton for Differin but I am scared to put someon because I have mild acne barly visable now but I heard about the initial breakout from Differin. Does everyone brake out from Differin at first? Has anyone cured acne with Differin without braking out?

Its just on the sides of my back before it meets the armpit and the back of my thighs are starting too. I haven't ate anything different and it started after I left the tanning bed last night. I've sat in the hot oatmeal bath 3 times and have put Caladryl on also.. nothing is helping. I do not have a doctor nor the money to see one.. What can I do??

What's the difference in a cold sore and fever blister. I have (what looks like) a pimple on my lip. I've never had a problem before, and I'm not sure what it is. I've been putting Abreva on it, but nothing's happening.

I had acne due to medication and its still there but not so much, caused by hormonal problems. Anyhow on the sides of my cheeks by my jawbone has pink spots all over the place and little skin flakes that i cant scrub off, how do i get my smooth skin back?

They are different sizes and are very painful.Have alot in the arms.I know there must be lots of them inside too.I've ask the Dr.But can't get a stright answer and one Just said he didn't know.They are hard Bumps and hurt when you touch them and when you don't.
