This is the original Habro walking dog. It's white and walks on a leash. I got one when I was 5 so in 1989. All I can find now is a Hasbro Fur Real gogo walkin pup. It's not the same, I'd really like to get one for my daughter.

Would have been early 80s.
I recall a number of songs...one of which includes the lyrics (excerpt):
"Childhood toyland,
Beautiful girl and boy land,
Land of pretty dollies, choo choo trains, and soldier boys"
...Curious as to the year it came out, the title, etc.
Thank you!

So if you were a grade school kid in the 70's what really stood out to you?
*For me it was Disco Barbie, and watching Donny & Marie Osmund on Sunday nights.
*I remember stripped polyester shirts with matching ribbed knit polyester pants.
*I remember making potholders for my mom with my plastic loom and hand sewing my own barbie clothes.
*I loved my easy bake oven, and often made played kick ball on the street in front of our house.
*I remember it being totally safe to walk to my best friend's house after school even though it was 8 blocks away (even in the dark!).
*I remember standing in line for 2 hours to see Star Wars.
So... what do YOU remember?

I made one of the rooms in the house into a playroom to keep all the toys in one room, but when I get home from work there are toys all over the place. I also placed things in labled bins for them in the room for them to keep organized, well the room looks like a tornado hit, can't even walk in without stepping on the toys. This weekend I lost my temper and put it all in a garbage bag and threatend to put them out for the garbage truck to pick up. Should I give them another chance? or should i really throw things away until they learn. It's just that it hurts me to throw them all away with all the $ I've invested. Please help!

This was a huge debate when I was a kid. I started collecting Matchbox cars early. I would save my allowance for months to be able to buy the new Matchbox car down at the local "five and dime" store. Then, in the 1960's, Hot Wheels came along. I didn't like them at first, because they had flimsy wheels, were made of cheap metal and plastic and didn't look like real cars...but they had a track and you could race them! That made them a hit. Unfortunately, all of my cars were given to charity by my parents, without asking my permission. Some of those Matchbox cars were my brother's, and dated to the 1940's. Which did you collect?
