you don't need skill to play with yoyos. all you need is practice.

Maybe it because a lot of kids played it when they were young and got frustrated with it so they figured it wasn't kewl.... even though I can't do that stuff ('cuz im frustrated about it), I still think yoyoing stuff is kewl.

Because now a days, kids are only interested in video games. Think about it...how many kids do you see playing with tops or jacks, or even using their imagination? But I have to agree with you. YoYos are entertaining, and require skill.

Yoyos have passed the stage of being a fad, but they're still great toys. They do require real dexterity to use.

I think, as a high tech society, many younger people feel, no "bells and whistles" = no fun. Alot of the things that take pratice and manual dexterity have been channeled unto mastering the game controls and gadgets of these times.

mabye because the rubiks cube is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo better
