I'm addicted to the Original settlers of Catan board game and I'm looking at either the expansion (Cities and Knights), Seafarers of Catan, or Starfarers of Catan to be my next addition to the series...Which should I get, based on your own personal experience?

I was playing Fritz. My opponent converted two of his pawns into queens, so there I was with only the king while he got two queens and the king. But he was unable to mate me, and when his time ended the system said it was 1/2-1/2!!! I had almost two minutes left, he wasted all his time, and it was a draw, how so???
Is Fritz crazy?

Chess is a very strategic game and takes allot of thought. If you were to play it all the time as a hobby do you think it would make you a smarter person. Kinda like reading all the time.
