In other words, if you became ill due to a stomach virus, food poisoning (unrelated to the food itself), consuming too much alcohol or anything else that wasn't specifically related to your last meal prior to becoming so sick, do you find that you just cannot eat that food again, even many years later?
For example, when I was a little kid, I recall eating a bunch of toasted marshmallows over at my best friend's house. There was nothing wrong with them (they were quite yummy, I'm sure) but I'd skipped breakfast, so that was basically all I had in my stomach. I then made the fatal mistake of tagging along with my father and uncle (a notoriously bad driver whose "road skills" had made me seriously carsick on many occasions before and after this event) on a golf outing. Yep, you guessed it. I spent the rest of that morning/afternoon regurgitating my so-called breakfast. To this day, I have never again eaten a toasted marshmallow.
Have you experienced anything like this? Which foods?
