Refrigerated: Yogurt, hommus (without bread you could eat the hummus with crackers... I like them on stoned wheat crackers), cottage cheese (I like the flavored ones), cold pasta salads, three bean salad, rice pudding, cold meat (cold drumsticks are good in a lunch), cheese (you can wrap meat in the cheese or the other way around without using bread, too... just stick a toothpick in 'em so they hold together in your lunch bag.)
Room temperature (for a day, anyway): Granola bars, beef or turkey jerky, all sorts of fruits, celery (with peanut butter is always good... if you like PB), cereal (you can bring milk too, or eat it dry.)
Edit: I like Virginia's MRE advice for something different, too. A friend of mine who's a Marine brought me and some friends a mess of those, they're fun to use, compact, and the meals are not bad!

Starkist has Tuna paks, and I think Sardine paks. The paks are Flat enough to put in a briefcase, lunch container. All you need are a fork or spoon. The paks are easy to open.
I think they are tasty. I try to always have some, they're nice for "late night" snack while watching TV. I also take them on camping, hiking and backpacking trips, and have them in my "Go Bag."

They are in your supermarket with the cans of tuna and sardines.
There may be brands other than Starkist on the shelf.
Here is the website.

This is an interesting concept. I have taken these on camping trips. It's not fine-dining, but, hopefully, will be interesting enough for you to consider.
These heat themselves! http://heatermeals.com/
MRE's can be considered, however, they are "water based" and heavy to carry. I have taken them on camping trips.
Enjoy!

You could get MREs like the military gets. They have their own heating mechanism, store for ages, and would be a change. I'm assuming you don't have a place to heat your food or don't have time.

I assume when you say you don't eat bread it it just bread you are talking about not bread products. I like tortillas with peanut butter and jelly on it. It tastes really good.

I love snack items like cheeses, lunchmeats and crackers. I like applesauce, granola-type bars, green grapes, tunafish, chicken salad, cottage cheese.
