Singles & Dating - 13 October 2006

I've been talking w/ this girl for about a month now and we've been getting slowly closer in respects of friends. She just broke up with her fiance about 8 months ago and is kinda getting "more comfortable" with me. I'm not sure wether to cross the lines of friendship into something more. It's hard to read her, although we definatley have those moments when we look each other in the eye just for that brief period that would show definate intrest.

I'm having troubles interpreting this scenario for tonight. she comes to my place walking her dog, ask if anyone is around, and if I would like to watch a horror movie with her at her apartment around 10pm because she doesn't like watching them alone.

Do I interpret this as the potential for more? Or, Is it just a friendly invitation?

i have a problem im so unsure of myself... i feel ugly even though im not people say im very pretty i always worry about my weight which i am only 105 pounds and 5 feet 1. im so miserable with my self i have no confiedence.. im so un happy.

I've knowz & loved my "then" best friend, "now" boyfriend for a long time .. but my family don't opprove of our relationship what so ever .. they don't know what'z goin' on & how crazy I am about him, n'once my dad found out I went out with him & got extremly mad at me. I love my family soo much, but I also love my boyfriend,, he'z the one for me .. I can feel it . I can see it in hiz eyez.. but lookin' at my father'z eyez, n'when I hug n'kiss my mom, I Just feel soo guilty... I love them soo much, but I can't let go of my boyfriend.. I JUST CAN'T.. we're inlove & I've never felt this way about anyone else in my life .. he'z my love & my best friend, he'z there for me when I need him, he never did me wrong.. but I just can't live like this... I don't wanna break hiz heart & say itz over when i'd rather kill myself than loze him n'on the other hand, i really don't wanna dissappint my parentz.. the only way they'll opprove iz if he comez 2propoze to me & I can't really force him:(help

ok i am 14 and i have never madeout with a guy. how old were you when you first made out with someone? am i relaly old to have never really kissed someone? ive had my first kiss but peck from spin the bottle doesnt really count.... i know this is like a really shallow question but seriously is there something wrong with me? cuz most of my friends have made out with guys.

Okay, so I just asked a question about a boy that I like but...

My girlfriend's cat died while she was on vacation. I was talking care of it and lost the cat's medication. I told her it died of old age. I called and she said it wrecked her trip. I promised to cremate it but the vet wants over $100.00 bucks to burn the rat. I planted it near the garage. I have to fill a container that looks like remains, I was going to give it in a vase as a sentimental gift. I don't know what these things look like.

I got home from work tonight and was heading to the shower. I decided to quick check my email. The guy I was meeting for the first time tonight IM'D me to cancel. HELLO!!! I gave him all my numbers....A phone call at work would've been a bit more considerate.. He said "Sorry, I have to change plans tonight because my kids are staying home this weekend" (as opposed to going to their mom's house.) No big deal, I can understand that, but what if I didn't check my computer before I left? For the record, we're both in our mid-40's!!

This sounds a little dumb...but..

...ok, i am fully aware of how incredibly stupid my problem seems, but it's been addressed by so many people I feel I need to ask someone...

I'm 22 and have only been in one semi- serious relationship, which lasted about 4 months, about 2 years ago. Besides that I have slept with 4 guys, before and after my boyfriend. For the past year I've been completely and totally involved with work - I love my job, work nights, and therefore don't see many guys except those I work with...

My "problem" is that I haven't even fancied a guy(i.e. a real guy - non-famous!) in well over a year. I didn't think it was that big a deal until my sister in law pointed it out, since then it's arisen a few times, and I'm the only one who doesn't think it's that odd. Now, however, I'm worried...

Is it something wrong with me? I've been prescribed as being depressed which I dip in and out of, but I didn't think anything of this before... Should I be concerned?

Well, there is this guy who I think there is a small chance that he likes me, but he is SUPER shy! And here's the thing--I don't know if we could ever be together because he is 2 1/2 years older than me, and I am 3 inches taller than him! Age is a problem, but not as much as the height. I have a close friend of mine (no it's not me:-) who is in a very friendly relationship with someone 16 years her junior. She's 34 and he's 18 claiming he's a grown man. Heck he can't even buy a drink or get into a club...PLEASE!!!! I can't understand what they could possibly have in common! She says it's strictly physical and they would never pursue a relationship, but to me that's just wasting time. He is a very handsome young man, but I've tried to warn her that even though she takes their friendship casually, he may view it as more and end up hurt! What do you all think?

Well, there is a SUPER shy guy that I think likes me, but he hasn't been showing as many signs lately. He used to look at me and when I would look, he would quickly look away, etc.. We never really talked that much, I mean we do a little in groups, but I don't see him looking at me as much anymore. But when we do talk or I wave goodbye after an orchestra rehearsal, he will smile at me so sweetly or talk to me differently than he does to his other friends. So 1) does he still like me? 2) What should I say to him...I want to go up and get talking to him more again! and 3) is there any way to nonverbally coaxe him to come up and inniate conversation with me? (Please answer all three question, or at least #1 and either 2 or 3).
