Friends - February 2007

I am a social smoker and drinker. I have people who I have known a long time who are as well. I work at a place where I don't smoke and don't always feel like they accept me for me. I am advancing in my career so sometimes I think that maybe they just want me to evolve professionally. I don't know what to do. I feel torn between two worlds.

My best friend and I (friends for 6 years now) have talked about what it would be like if we traded boyfriends for a day if it would be entertaining or not and since she doesnt have one it can't happen. But the other day we were really bored, it was a snow day from school, and we had nothing to do so we were watching tv sharing a blanket, when my hand touched her leg and I dont know how things evolved from that but from there "things" just happened. Nothing like this has ever happened between us before or even close, and it was like no big deal at the time because we decided that there was some comfort in having your best friend do that since we know each other better than anyone else does. But now that a few days have passed she is really sad and cant believe that happened and regrets it sooo much. When i truly thought about it I decided that I didnt regret it. I love her so much and would do anything for her and it was so different. I'm not gay but what do I do now? Do I forget it?

I am married, he is too, but we like have a crush one to the other. We are all friends and go out toether. but lately I know i like him, he told me he likes me too. I don't want to leave my husband because i love him too. and i know he loves his wife too, so should i go for it. can someone advice me, if u had this same problem.

me and my friends are going to do an all night sleepover and are looking for some things to do. We don't want anything that's clam, more like seeing who can drink the most soda, truth or dare extreme, rack paper slap, and stuff like that. Any ideas?

I guess what i want to know is: is it ok to tell someone you care about "I love you" and just mean it as a friend??
I(age 35) have a friend who is a guy(age 35)- we have known each other for over 20 years - and I want to know if it is ok to tell him that I care about him and that I love him. I don't mean it in any sexual sort of way - he is a good friend in the service and I worry about his safety. We are both happily married with children and I have no desire to be with him, I just want him to know how much I care. I would be crushed if something happened to him and he didn't know my feelings.
What do you think??

Ok at first this guy was really nice to me and he acted like he liked me. He always flirted to me and on Valentine's Day, he wrote I love u 2 on my bottle I had and then friday evening (2/16) I was coming home from my friends house and he was walking home in the cold so we picked him up and we went to my house so I could get him a jacket. Well we went walking so we (my friend and me) could take him home. Well he was supposed to go to the girl's house that his sister was staying w/ but we wanted to talk to him so we took a road close to her house. Me and him were holding hands and they were inside his jacket pocket. And when my friend asked what we were doing he said were holding hands and I was like yea but really u know it takes 2 people to hold hands and he let go but like 3 seconds later he grabbed my hand tighter than he had been holding it. Then we walked to some guys house to see him and he let my hand go for a sec and then when we got done at the house, he grabbed my hand again.

I have had this best friend for 3 years and we have been basically insepertable. But lately everything had changed. i try not to be jelious but i cant help it because she is always hanging out with this new girl. They will invite me over and they will not include me. He's my good friend, known him for a year and a half...he told me he loves me, (and i turned him down) and now im starting to fall for him too

BUT - its complicated...i cannot date him because my family would never approve of him...PLUS, i know that if we were an item, we would constantly argue and fight and i dont see it having a future - but i care for him so much as does he

also, im not too sure if he DOES love me, because after he told me, he said it was a joke of some sort (but he doesnt make jokes like that at all)

but i get on with him as a friend despit the countless arguments - what shall i do! He's my friend so i cant avoid him - and i dont want to avoid him...i just want to prevent myself from falling in love with him!

Ps. just so you get an idea, he's 19 and im 18

She teased me a good part of the night. She and her friend kept popping inside jokes at me in a kidding way and then having a laugh behind my back. I felt kind of bad because we have really developed a close friendship lately. Later, she said she enjoyed the witty banter we had back and forth, and she enjoyed the expressions on my face. Why did she torture me like this?? :(
