for a while now i,ve been constantly thinking of this guy i went to school with i even thought about getting back in contact with him but i feel weird because back then i dont recall having the same feelings he had for me and i keep wondering is my mind playing tricks on me.i,ve been trying to ignore things in hopes that it will fade away and not mean anything but it seems its not going away ifanything things are getting worse and more intense.why is this happening when i dont want it to? what can i do to make my thoughts of him fade forever ?

I am a decided spinster of 33yrs, happy with my own world & can never let it go under any circumstances. Not much social, I generally avoid people, but recently a colleague has expressed his interest in marrying me. Unfortunately, I don't share the feelings of his. Neither I want to let him feel down, nor do I want to make a mess of it, in the staffroom. My other colleagues know about it, & it is through one of them he has sent his proposal. I don't want to leave the job, for it will be too much sacrificing for me. Any other way out ?

I have a friend who I don't know how to deal with at the moment because, we are all going through a stressful time (we have just done some exams and have more next year, have lots of coursework and other commitments.) and she keeps going on about it all. She makes out like she is the only one who is stressed or tired or ill, when one of our friends had a panic attack the other week, another has been ill. I love her to pieces but it seems a little selfish. How can i deal with it or help her to see that she isn't the only one in this world?

There is a guy that works in our office that is a real nerd. He looks like one dresses like one and acts like one. He is over 45 and never married and has trouble even getting a date. To top it off he is picky on who he is willing to date (she has to be somewhat attractive and not fat). Would it be wrong to walk over to him one day and say, "Hal, hows it going?
