It would mean less dependance on oil, and a cleaner environment. Are the multibillion dollar oil companies using their money to make sure we don't develop something that could greatly change our lives so they can stay in power? I mean hybrids are nice but that can't be the best they can come up with? E85 sounds great, but what's the point of buying a car that can use E85 when barely any gas stations carry it, and those who do are only selling it for around 30 cents less than normal gas.

What are your thoughts on this?

I believe that the conversion to Ethanol is an inevitability and a fantastic source of energy. Of course the oil giants don't agree, because it'll hit them where it hurts most. But when it does happen, will fuel prices be reasonable for the era? I mean really, will we suddenly have a shortage of corn?

I saw on mythbusters once that they used cooking oil (filtered) with no alters and it ran a disel car. Cheap if every mc donalds in the USA filtered the cooking oil or sent it somewhere to be filtered and not have to waste it and replace disel.

We've all heard of E85, 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Some states currently run E10, most recently California. Minnesota passed an E20 mandate but has yet to get the ok from the EPA. I've heard a person gets the best mileage with E30. If so, why not mandate E30 eventually? If I were to pump 20 total gallons into my fuel tank, 13 gal. gasoline & 7 gal. E85 to make E30, adjusting the equation in states currently blending ethanol, how would that effect my vehicle mileage, engine mechanics, and performance? Is the EPA testing for E20 and E30?

run on hydrogen? I don't have alot of money, so where could I get it converted, and where can I get hydrogen? Can it be a diesel truck too? I am thinking of getting a diesel, but if hydrogen only works on regular gas trucks, I'll go with that.

Thanks!

Let's assume I'm willing to drive 10 miles to a store to buy a tank and that I already have an empty one to give back to them. How much would this tank cost, and how much would it hold? (Volume and psi would be acceptable, but weight would be the best bet.) Thanks!
