Any diesel engine can run on bio diesel. Some may experience teething problems. (diesels ignite by pressure not glow or spark plugs)
It is advisable to run a second fuel filter as bio diesel will clean out deposits left by mineral diesel. (possible clogging of injectors.
If you live somewhere cold mix in some mineral diesel to prevent fuel freeze.
Check with your bio diesel supplier for anything else to be wary of. Bio diesel can be manufactured from just about any animal fat or vegetable oil. Each version has slightly different qualities. Some will affect rubber seals.

It is my understanding that any Deisel car can ran on "biodiesel" (not Veggie oil ). With out any change to the car. If you try to use straight Veggie Oil you need to change some of the sensors thing like that.

yes, my family actually makes our own biodiesel from the local fryer oil and we burn it in all types of normal diesel engines. My Dad is a contractor so we burn it in the work pickups, semi, heavy machinery, an my mom burns it in her VW jetta. The only modifications you would need to make would be if you ran the diesel off of vegetable oil alone, then you would need a separate tank because a diesel can't start on veg. oil yet once it's running it can continue to run off of veg. oil.

All diesel engines can safely run on biodiesel with zero modifications to the engine or fuel system.

Bob J, was that a joke? I know it was a complete lie, but did you mean to be funny?
ALL diesel engines will run on bio. You may need to change out rubber lines and gaskets though, because bio will eventually eat them away.
The engine itself could care less what it runs on.

Hate to burst everyone's bubble on this, but not all diesel engines can run bio diesel. Diesel engines prior to 1972 can not run bio diesel as the engines prior to 1972 will burn up the pistons because they use spark plugs and not glow plugs.

Yes it is oil and u need to make sure that it is filtered SO that there is nothing in it that will stop up your injectors.
