I would like to take this moment, to honour the avocado!
It's green on the inside - sometimes on the outside!
It looks slighty disgusting - like something you wouldn't want to eat. But alas - the minute the green, smooth and squishy mass hits the tip of your tongue, you hear angels singing!! It's salty - but yet sweet, it's fat - but yet healthy, it's conservative (!) but yet, nothing starts a party like guacamole!!!
Let's hear it for the avocados!

LAMEST COMERCIAL EVER!

Periodically, I do a pawn shop "sweep" to see if I can find any bargains in used dvds.

Yesterday, I scored some nice ones, but noticed, again, the spelling discrepancy. Sometimes I see "disc" printed on the packaging and sometimes "disk".

Which is your choice? Is there a difference in when you use each spelling?

(Note: Don't automatically turn your nose down at the idea of buying cd/dvds at pawn shops. Reputable ones will NOT buy ones that are even questionable and, sometimes you can get some nice deals, as I did yesterday)

I need your help. I am struggling with my stepson, 16. He announced last night that he basically can't stand me any longer. It has really cut me to the bone and left me feeling taken out at the knees.

I have always loved this child as my own and will continue to do so but it really hurts to hear him say the things he does. I told him that his anger will NOT keep me from loving him, doing for him and being there for him. I have faced greater challenges than an angry teenager. He says that he wants nothing to do with me because I have betrayed him but cannot tell me what it is that I have betrayed him over!! I really feel that this stems from his mother and how she feels about me as a part of his life. (We used to be best friends but she has become an evil person that I don't know any longer.) I don't know how to battle this war.

Any help or just plain moral support. I have cried for hours and now cannot see out of my swollen eyes.

I was flipping thru US Weekly at the local book store over lunch and saw one pic of a black rapper in the entire mag...it was a sidebar of sean piddy or diddy what ever his stage name is ...a couple years ago every other page had one on it....has good taste come back in to favor?

I've been married to this wonderful, sexy, funny, smart lady for almost 26 years. She knows everything about me. I have freedom to do things I like, be with my friends and I can tell her anything. When I'm funny she laughs, she even laughs when I'm not all that funny, Always with me not at me. She thinks I'm the smartest guy she ever knew. If I'm sad she holds me, she never fails to be there for me. I'm one lucky guy!

Who else feels this way???
