Nobody cared about sudoku while it was still called Number Squares. But tack a Japanese name onto it, and it's wildly popular! Another example is the whole anime/manga craze. WHY?

I have NOTHING against Japan, or any other country for that matter, but what's wrong with being American? It seems to me like the main attitude is that the U.S. is dumb and all other countries are better. This is NOT the case! We are at least equals, right?!

Why is it cool to trash talk your own country and say you like someone else's better? It makes me sad.
