at what age do you start making your own decisions even if they go against what your parents want?

im thinking about going out of state this summer and i dont think my parents are going to like it. in fact, theyre going to be terrified. this is something i really want to do though. im 18 yrs old.

do i do what i want to do or stay home because my parents want me to?

Did you ever kill any animal while you were driving? SEE DETAILS PLS?

I just ran over a squirrel. I was crying. I feel so bad and cant get the little squished rascal out of my head? Did you feel guilty if you hit an animal? God I am really upse.
