Stars are meaningless. It neither costs points to give stars nor do the people who get stars get points.
Answer a question and get 2 pts. Ask a question and lose 5 pts. Choose the "best answer" to your question and get 3 of those 5 pts. back.
Be chosen as "best answer" and get 10 pts. plus 1 bonus pt. for each "thumbs up" your answer received. There’s no deduction for “thumbs down.”

No points for stars, thumbs up adds a point if you get picked best answer, thumbs down nothing changes !

No, no extra points are handed out for stars, or for thumbs up UNLESS your answer that has thumbs up is picked as best answer

thumbs up you get an extra point per one and stars more stars there are the more points you get

If your answer gets chosen for "best answer" then if you get a "thumbs up" then you get points. You don't get any points for a "star".

2) You get nothing for stars
