First I'd distinguish whether or not it's an actual Earthquake, or just Rosie O'Donnell walking down the street;) then upon realizing it was an actual earthquake, and given that I was at home with my Lil Sweety at the time, I'd latch onto her and cover her with my body as to protect her from harm, and providing all was well following the after shocks, I'd start a little foreplay, and the rest you can hypothesize for yourself;) LOL

Often earthquakes happen at night here (Japan), so I just pull my pillow over my head! But I can't do that while I'm teaching. Last time my students and I were staring at each other wide-eyed until it was over.

They say a big one is due here in Tokyo. I think I should go home, they're sooo scary!

If inside a home one may try to run out or hide below any table etc.But if in a multi storied building run out through stair case to open ground. All these are just imagination as I have never witnessed severe earth quakes but only tremors.

Get in a doorway or go outside. I don't know. I live in Michigan and I am not accustomed to them. We had one years ago that was actually quite big for our area. I was standing at the kitchen sink and I felt it. Stuff even rattled. I immediately called my Mom and she answered the phone by saying, "Yeah, I felt it, too."

the first thing i would do is to switch off the main(current) and turn off gas cylinders. then if i am in the 1st,2nd and ground floors i will rush to the open space. if i am above that level i would stay away from big objects, furniture etc and rush to the open space if suppose unfortunately i am in the 5 ,6,7,8,9th floor etc. i shall go under furniture (eg cots and sofas and dinning tables) and see that i am not harmed.
