my father-in-law told a joke at a store and later the cops showed up at his house. he said " i saved a woman from being raped in the parking lot" the lady behind the counter said "good for you what did you do"? he said "i changed my mind"! she took him serious and called the police.

Have you ever lied to a cop? One time I got pulled over for speeding and an officer asked me why I was speeding. So I lied to him that I was late for a class I had at the university. So he said that if he made a call to the university and told them my name that I would be a student there. I was like yeah. So he said if there was any thing I was not telling him because if I was lying then he would haul my *** into jail. By that time I was like s**t, might as well tell him the truth.

I recently moved into a beautiful condo in a prime area of town. It's close to everything including work. I have two roommates, and it's in a much safer and cleaner area of town for be me to be in, which I wouldn't be able to afford unless I had roommates. The thing is I found the place on Craigslist. I didn't know the roomates before I moved in. They were described as clean, hard working professionals with quiet lifestyles... the house is smoke free, drug free, and pet free etc... aside from the pet thing, it seemed perfect. Well, now that I'm here, I'm seeing that things aren't drug-free. In fact one of the roommates has people over all of the time, esp weeknights for some reason and they go straight to his room to party. Apparenty they are normally in the living room, but the other roommate thinks he's being shy since I'm new. I'm not okay with this, but I signed a 6 month lease. They misrepresented themselves to me though. Is there anyway out of the lease? What should I do?
