(question on greed and sacrifice...hypothetical so if you don't like being bothered with this stuff then don't bother answering)

For 5 million dollars would you volunteer to be part of a museum art exhibit as a nude statue for a year. The situation would be like this, an artist would recruit you, you'd show up at the studio, strip down, step on a pedestal, pose then, through the wonders of technology, turn you to stone. For a full year you would be on display with other people who decided to take part in the display fully aware and everything but unable to move. At the end of the year you would be changed back and paid in full.

Would you do it for 5 million dollars?

If so how would you want to be posed (assume the more 'interesting' the pose is the more money you'd make) and what rock would you want to be made out of?

If not how much money would something like that take?

If you want you can describe in detail but I'm just trying to see what people will do for money.

If you had workers (putting up drywall and doing repairs) in your basement or somewhere else in your house for about 8 hours a day, 7 days a week with a radio blaring out your least favourite music in the world the whole time and it was so loud where you're trying to work or talk to people on the phone or sleep (with a headache) you can't even think straight and earplugs won't work and you've tried every earplug you can find at the store?

I need to work but I want to scream at the workers to turn off the stupid music. The sawing and banging would be more preferable to listen to.

The insurance co. is paying for the repairs, not me, and the insurance co. doesn't care less about things like this.

There is a worker shortage in my area too so I can't just alienate them and hire someone else. I also have no office space elsewhere; I work at home.

Would you put up with it or tell them to shut up?

This question was inspired by the movie "The Warriors". It is an old movie about gangs. If you have ever watched it, they had the funniest gangs in it. All different kinds of themes. It was really funny!

I have a hazy image that may or may not be real, of my grandmother holding me, and all I can really see is the outline of her hair because the light was behind her. Other than that, my earliest memory is of the time me and my dad where coming out of a store, I dropped some money and bent over to pick it up. I got disoriented, and thought another man was my dad, so I started chasing after him (he was halfway across the parking lot) until I heard my dad laughing behind me. To this day, I can still see the smile on his face.
