I think it does. Its sophisticated yet rhetorical. j/p. It sounds cool to me. It's confusing to dumb people yet sensible to the intelligent. You get an A from me for creativity.

I think putting a little humor in it would be better..... like perhaps SOPHIT or ON POINT. Unfortunately, I think Sophistic Rhetoric would work better for a string quartet!

If this name signifies what that band stands (their music, point of views, politics, cultural backround) then I think it fits them.
