Tired of the elitist, right-wing, discriminatory economics that dictates this country. It keeps taking money from the poor and giving it to the rich. Just as the GST was justified as 'good for the economy', as in retailer, manufacturers and owners of large corporations, and free trade, the softwood lumber deal, the hijacking of our oil to the U.S. and China, the sale of water, etc..people try to justify this business of getting rid of the penny.
Now I am all for giving leftover change to charity, but there is a difference. We will end up like France, everything is marked by francs and the penny has disappeared. You may be charged 5.23 and have to pay 5.25 and lose money. That is a portion of your taxable income and earnings. If you lose even 2 percent on 30,000, that is $600 a year.
In a country where the minimum wage is $6-8 an hour and this is SO GOOD, how dare the poor ask for decent wages and tax cuts when in U.K. & Europe, they're paid much more but have same cost of living
